Monday (March 21st):
-Early flight to Fort Lauderdale which meant we were on the Cruise ship and walking around by 12:00 PM.
-We had a buffet for lunch and checked out our room (a fairly decent sized suite) where Grandma and Grandpa had requested it be decorated and with Champagne and fruit/chocolate covered strawberries.
-We had a mandatory evacuation drill where we just stood in lines waiting to get into our boats (if we were sinking)
-We stood on the top deck with Pina Cooladas as we departed and watched the very end of the Florida come and go.
-Dinner with our waiter Emre from Turkey and Assistant waiter George N.
-The first show was a Comedy Show and then we had a 70s disco fever in the Promenade.
-We got a chance to turn our clocks back and gain an hour of sleep :-)
Tuesday (March 22nd):
-A day at sea
-Breakfast in the dining room
-Spent a few hours at the pool (got really burned on my legs)
-Johnny Rockets for lunch.
-Dad and I played Bingo (we played it with electronic cards and had 30 Bingo cards going at once)
-Formal dinner night (had formal pictures taken and delicious meals)
-Show: Impressionist
-A day in Labadee, Haiti
-Breakfast in The Windjammer (buffet)
-Relaxed on the beach, under the trees.
-Shopping in the little shops and getting some cute gifts.
-Live music from locals.
-Mom and I went for a walk on the way back to the ship and walked up to Dragon's Cove.
-Casual Italian dinner night.
-Played a game "Name that T.V. tune".
-Show: Comedian/Juggler and Dad was picked beforehand to perform
-Love and Marriage Game show (we watched)
Thursday (March 24th):
-A Day in Falmouth, Jamaica
-Walking out of the ship to a live band from locals.
-Walking through Falmouth to get to the bus (very cute shops that were like Williamsburg or Gettysburg)
-Took a half hour bus ride to Montego Bay to go on a Catamaran to go snorkeling
-The water was so clear we almost didn't need to go snorkeling to see everything.
-Sailed through the fish and bird sanctuary and saw a Sea Cucumber up close
-Pit stop on the bus on the way back at the Rainbow Gift shop.
-Got hit on by the security guy who needed to look through my bag before entering the ship.
-Milwaukee Lutheran HS Choir performance before dinner
-Caribbean themed dinner
-Show: Ballroom Fever (dancers and singers)
Friday (March 25th):
-Day at Sea (last day)
-Dining room for a lovely breakfast
-"Walk for Wishes" with Dad (bought a $10 tee and walked 5 laps with the captain and some of his crew for the Make-a-Wish foundation and we had a Make-A-Wish Kid lead us in the laps)
-Reading "Pursuit" on the deck of our suite and relaxing up by the pool
-Windjammer Buffet for lunch
-Casual dinner and last dinner with Emre and George serving us.
-Show: All Access (singers and dancers performing rock and roll and pop from the last few decades)
-Purchased formal pictures and a scrapbooking kit
Saturday (March 26th):
-In Fort Lauderdale
-See previous posts for this :-)

ReplyDeleteHow cute are you?!?! Wow, looks AWESOME! I loved that your suite was decorated, in EC colors, how appropriate! Lovin' your cute outfit and that you DID workout for Make-a-Wish! Go you, that will make Zumba that much less painful on Tuesday ;-) Looking forward to hearing more and seeing more at our "meeting." Happy last week of March!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha...I loved that too :) That outfit I had to wear since I was really badly burnt on my legs and didn't want to wear a bathing suit to make it worse haha. It was a great workout (I believe walking up and down the stairs was a good workout too since once day I walked up 12 flights of stairs (16 steps per flight I heard) and then back down 5....needless to say I was exhausted after that haha! Looking forward to our "meeting" this week :)
