Let it rain...let it rain..Open the flood gates of Heaven

Still raining...yes and today it has just been bizarre.  I did see the sun for about 10 minutes on my drive over to the ES.  Today was bearable and had some pretty good moments with the students.  The concert is tomorrow, I'm watching the Mets (currently) beat the Nationals and am hoping to see a classmate of mine pitch for the Nationals tonight, and will be working on the slideshow for the concert tomorrow.  Being creative and crafty is what I really enjoy doing :)

Today's top 5:
1. Wonderful 4th grade classes
2. Hearing the 8th grade song come together
3. Video chat with a lovely friend
4. Mentor meetings...don't know what I'd do without her or what I'll do next year when I don't have to do the mentor meetings
5. Cooking a home cooked meal :)

  1. So it is 11 o'clock, and I am taking a break to read your blog. Thanks for making me tear up for the 80th time today! I really wish you stop saying nice things about me! Funny thing is, being your mentor has really made me think about what I am doing and has kept me in check with my "stuff." It also has been really nice to de-brief every week, something that really is important I believe between colleagues and professionals. I'm thinking we will have plenty of de-briefing time next year, and know that I am always available to bounce around rubrics with, or other important things, like potential dates :-) You are a really good teacher Megan, and although sometimes it can get super overwhelming, reminding yourself to take one step at a time and to make the most out of the day God has given you, will help to keep things in perspective. God is working in your life, and although you may not see everything all lined up quite yet, he will quietly and in his time reveal these things to you, be assured of that.
