"I love you, my child, my friend. You are my treasure."

So it has been a LOOONGGG time since I last posted and a lot has happened.  This summer was full of job searching, job interviewing, traveling back and forth to Hackettstown, and trying to stay afloat.  Needless to say...September is next week and I still don't have a teaching job.  I have had my ups and downs with this and am finally at the conclusion that I am in this position for a reason.  I don't quite know the reason yet, but I just need to trust that God has a plan.

I am very grateful for my friends and family who have stood by me, encouraged me, and even dealt with some frustration from me.  I could not have gotten through this summer without them and I appreciate every single one of them.  I know they are all going back to school and back to teaching and I can't wait to hear their stories and see where God takes them this new school year.

I've done a lot of reading and have even started running...yes, shocking, I know.  A friend of mine is really into 5k's and I have always wanted to try to run one (even though I'm not a huge running fan).  I have started training with the "Couch to 5k" app and day 2 wasn't as bad as day 1...looking forward to trying day 3 tomorrow.  I have until October 27th to get ready and a few friends are joining me on this :)

I'm looking forward to September since I will be starting a little traveling here and there while I look for a job and my class starts at Montclair.  I'm looking forward to my class this Fall since it's the same professor I had this past summer.  September 8th Needmore will be performing at the Dayton Downtown Revival Music Fest.  I'm looking forward to seeing them perform at a larger venue and seeing my brother again.  It's been a long time since I last saw him and I get to travel with my brother's best friend who is like a brother to me :)  We'll be traveling and meeting up with my parents in Chicago before all 4 of us head into Dayton :)  I can't wait :)

So, as I start this new adventure...I decided to go for a change...a HUGE change.  I have a new hair color and haircut :)  I'm shocked at how dark I really decided to go, but I wanted something different and new.  What do you think?
In case you can't tell...it's red

In direct sunlight :)

  1. You are too funny . . . who takes a pic of their hair inside and outside?? Looks great though! Will continue to pray for you, and it is usually on the other side of things when you start to understand and figure out God's plan. Hang in there!
